United Workers Association has grown significantly over the decade. This growth has placed additional demands on the accounting functions of our non-profit organization. Ms. Harris revised our chart of accounts to improve our financial management and grant reporting. She assisted with improving how we record transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in preparation for our first audit. Moreover, she provided recommendations for the adoption of processes to achieve stronger internal controls. She simplified our accounting treatment while meeting specific grant-related accounting needs. In this process, her understanding and flexibility in addressing the specifics of our history and the training needs of volunteer Directors who are new to the oversight process has been invaluable.
